It was in the late summer when I started working for IBM, just after getting my MBA from the University of Utah that I walked into the office of the CEO of PACCAR behind my lead sales person and was introduced to my first “CEO meeting”.  I didn’t know what to think but I remember being very nervous, especially worried about being asked a question.  But after 15 minutes of friendly discussion, I realized he was just “another guy” and was actually easier to talk to the all the techies I had been dealing with on other issues.  I was relieved, but also realized this was the person I always wanted to be dealing with…

Fast forward 25+ years and nothing has changed, other than the faces and the names.  I have had the privilege of spending the majority of my career interacting with CEOs of all sizes of companies, from start-ups to Fortune 100.  It’s been great!  I love dealing with people who can make decisions and execute them.  While you don’t have to always interact with the CEO to have this happen, it just happens to carry a lot less “baggage” with the decisions.

Getting the chance to partner with such a great guy like John Hartman and help take the CEOtoCEO organization to a new level is just plain fun.  It combines things I enjoy doing and have done for many years into one focused objective – allowing CEOs to get better at what they do while helping other CEOs get better at what they do.  This is truly a “symbiotic” (my undergraduate degree was biology) relationship where every CEO that participates can benefit.

My role is to help John bring a whole new level of breadth and depth to you, the CEO and Business Leaders in the area, and fill a gap that will enable you to be even better than you already are today.  That’s it…a way to bring CEOs together to help each other and learn from what each other brings to the table from their experiences.  After leading many CEO peer groups (yes, like similar to a Vistage group) and consulting with CEOs, it was clear that my years of hands on experience in Sales, Customer Experience/Loyalty, Business Strategy, Consulting, and of course my latest passion for the past 5 years, SOCIAL MEDIA, would allow me to help all of you in some way at what you do today.
